Thailand
Thailand, officially named the Kingdom of Thailand, is a country in Southeast Asia. It shares borders with Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia, the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. The country is governed as a constitutional monarchy. King Bhumibol Adulyadej has been the chief of state since 1946. The capital of Thailand and by far the largest city in the country is Bangkok. The approximately 69.1 million inhabitants are made up of about 75% ethnic Thai and roughly 15% Chinese. Buddhism is the dominant religion in the country.
